Cluely lists at $19.99/mo, and that plan is not the undetectable one. Cluely's pricing page puts the hidden-from-screen-share behaviour on a separate Pro + Undetectability tier at $149.99/mo. If undetectability is the reason you're looking at these tools at all, Cluely's real price is $149.99, not $19.99.
Interview Coder lists at $299/mo, with a $799 one-time option. That's their published price, shown struck through from higher "original" figures — treat those anchors as marketing rather than evidence of a former price. It's the most expensive tool in the category by a wide margin.
Velin is $34/mo, $228/yr, or $324 once. Undetectability is included at every tier. There isn't a cheaper plan that quietly drops it.

What each one is built for
Cluely is the broadest of the three. Their own positioning leads on meetings rather than interviews — real-time meeting notes and recall, with no bot joining the call and no extra name in the guest list. If you want an assistant for everyday calls and don't need it hidden, the $19.99 plan is the cheapest way into the category. Worth knowing that it supports 12+ languages against Velin's 57+.
Interview Coder is the narrowest and the most direct competitor to Velin on positioning: undetectability-first, interview-specific, desktop-native. They claim 30+ undetectability features and coverage of HackerRank, CoderPad and Codility. What they don't have is a story outside the interview — nothing about meetings or general work use.
Velin sits closest to Interview Coder on architecture and closest to Cluely on breadth. It's a native desktop app, hidden at the OS level rather than as an overlay, and it's used for meetings and online tests as well as interviews.

Two things worth being straight about
On price, Velin is not the cheapest. Cluely's $19.99 entry is lower, and if you genuinely don't need to be invisible, it's the better-value plan. Velin's argument only holds once undetectability is a requirement — at which point Cluely is $149.99 and the comparison inverts.
On the "cheating" framing, Interview Coder and Cluely both lean into it harder than Velin does, and that's a real difference in what you're buying rather than a criticism. Some people want that. It's worth knowing which side of it a tool sits on before you pay.
What Velin does that the other two don't
- Mouse gestures instead of keystrokes. You draw a shape with the mouse and it triggers an action. Nothing is typed, so a platform logging keystrokes has nothing to record — and a moving cursor is the least remarkable thing on any computer. Neither Cluely nor Interview Coder offers gesture control.
- Hidden at the renderer, not overlaid. In Activity Monitor and Task Manager it runs under the name V Module, so if an interviewer asks you to show running processes, nothing there names it. Ask what you need it to survive.
If nobody is watching your screen, buy on features and price, and Cluely's entry plan is hard to beat. If you need it hidden during a monitored interview, the cheap plans stop being relevant and the real choice is between $149.99/mo, $299/mo and $34/mo for broadly the same promise.
